I bought two P1's (or P2's?) of the type in the first picture around 1972. Gave one to my mother and used mine in the bedroom as a second set. Was a great little TV. Sharp image and good contrast.

Pulled in a strong signal, too. I used the rabbit ears antenna at about half mast.

Sound from that little speaker wasn't great, but I mostly used it with headphones.

Robbbert,

Trove have changed things around recently.

I recently scored a AWA Telstar P4Y, similar to the one shown - mine having orange controls. The Telstar is a hybrid with valves, transistors & a single IC. It won the Sebel Australian design award for 1969.
