I purchased a CD many years ago, but a couple of computer changes have lost the means of now reading the CD

Thanks Ian, I have such a drive on the new PC, but am unable to read the AORSM disc. It tries for ages and if it eventually does anything, it says "502 Mb of 720Mb" or something similar, but never shows the files on the disc.
I am inclined to think the disc is corrupted, as the drive has no problem with other data CDs.
Harold

Actually at least one or two circuits on Kevin's site are mine. Reverse engineered from the chassis, I think one is an STC. I sent those to him.

I am inclined to think the disc is corrupted,

Is the CD visibly damaged/scratched? If so, there are ways of addressing that. Google will find them.

Those writable CDs do deteriorate. I had a CD with a lot of photos burnt onto it. Many years later I went to look at them and was unable to read the disc. I tried a couple of CD drives, but they just wouldn't read the disc.

I seem to remember that when the CD first came out, there were a few addons to assist with reading the files on certain versions of Windows. The only remedy that I can see is to contact Ray and get some advice on what is suitable for the version you are using.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...
