You do get some interesting articles in Radio Waves. I have tossed a few snippets in on occasion, & possibly will in conjunction with another have another in soon.

Do not forget that while they're usually the wrong colour, some of the throw away junk steam irons, that you cannot replace cords on, have a cloth type sheath.

One thing, as I use the synthetic cloth ones, often found with lighting, regularly; Is that you need to deal with fraying and creeping at the ends. A lot of commercial ones have a sealed moulded plug top. similar to the run of the mill "suicide cables". Just put a cloth one on an AWA 563MA-Y. It has a sealed plug top.
