I've finished restoring a Paton VCT-2 which was in a physically poor condition, only had to replace a couple of caps and the power cord. All the resistors were within spec, cleaned all switches and tested it. I then stripped it down as much as possible, cleaned the metal with Septone "Wax & Grease Remover" - undercoated it with Septone " Etch Primer " and finished off with " Rust-Oleum " Hammered Black Paint which didn't come out black as can be seen by the photos.             |

Hi Fred, I began by giving it a clean with warm water then gave it a polish, still not happy so I smeared a bit of silicone on a rag and rubbed it on then wiped it off with a clean one. |
