Well here is my learning effort in building a valve only AM + FM receiver with a CRO thrown in for good measure in the one cabinet. I learnt a lot of radio basics doing this and you may laugh at some of the comedic errors. I have kept the whole thing as brief as possible other wise its a boring book size tome.
I'll follow this up with a 1940's Octal valve tuner using 1940's parts even wax caps and a Empire state building shaped valve set each with its own lessons and questions. Later on for those but here is the AM/FM/CRO set as a PDF i'll email seperately.

Any questions about the "design" feel free to ask!

Fred.
