A friend has a AWA AR8 radio

The HRSA expert on military radio is the author of that linked article, Ray Robinson, who lives in Sydney. He has a sizeable collection, has restored many sets of various types, has published frequently and given talks and demos, and has a great historical knowledge of that category.
