I was wondering if anyone had a Restringing Diagram for HMV 65-54 Super 5.
As often happens, Dial String is broken. Have enabled it to go one way down the dial, but not the other, obviously a trick to this one. Even a Picture would be extremely appreciated.

Thank You
PamC

The radio in Clive's post uses the better quality AM demodulater circuit. It uses the 2nd diode in the 6AV6 to acquire AVC voltage. What this does is to avoid the AVC filter cap from backfeeding the audio detector diode, causing clipping of the detected audio waveform. I usually modify my AM tube radios to use this circuit. Another mod to use is to reduce the 6AV6 heater voltage, this reduces "contact" voltage that happens from loose electrons around the cathode. This allows weak signals to be demodulated better.
