Guys, I could not believe my luck when this baby was offered to me. I said yes I will take it. It's in as new condition . nothing to be done but enjoy it.

Thoughts please.

Just enjoy it! To me it looks good, and I hope it performs as good as it looks.

I always wonder what past owners have listened to for news and entertainment, as I guess most of us have. Imagine some family member staring it in the eye as news of some historic event was told, or beer spilled in the excitement as a try was made.

Children listening to their favourite serial programs..

All the history yet to come, voiced through the same circuits as so much that had come before.

Use it, enjoy it.

Lindsey

Yes some of the news events heard on this baby would have been the introduction of apartheid in South Africa. Nelson Mandella and the such. World War II it goes on hey.

A beautiful radio. I particularly like ones with magic eye valves. Unfortunately most of the old octal or 6-pin ones no longer show anything much.

Well guys I finally got to plug my tablet into my pilot radios phono jack and I gotta tell you it has a awesome sound. Its true high fidelity. The only thing I will do different from now on is to plug a Bluetooth receiver into it as the tablet thinks I'm using earphones and is playing at low volume . Guys if you want to hear your old time music or classic hits on your old radios this really is the way to do it.
