I have a number of, “New Old Stock” plugs, made by Bulgin.

The pin pattern is unusual and I am not able to find out anything them, even though I know the Maker, and, Model/Part number. (P.72)

Bulgin did not reply to my e-mail.

They are Bakelite and very well made. The thread on the cover and base is very smooth in operation.

I would really like to know what they were for.
Speaker?
Sub-chassis connector?
Gramophone unit?

Please help.

At a guess most likely gramophone or speakers. Daresay such plugs would have had a number of uses.

Nice condition plugs.

It looks like a plug that would suit a British B7 valve socket.

With those banana prongs, it seems to be designed for frequent plug-unplug operations, rather than permanent assembly such as valve seating. Possibly early stereo tape unit, two in and two out?

I seem to remember them being used in TV's for the field coil connections to the main chassis.
