I bought these Philips speakers that were removed from a warehouse.
Just wondering how common these are as I have have never seen them before.
Also my Dad (who installed a lot of Philip gear in the day) had never seen them!
Also the cones are dis-coloured so what is the best way to blacken them.

Weird! The drivers look like standard units, but fitted with flat horns to give more directional dissipation of the energy. A custom job, perhaps? For a place that needed better fidelity than a full metal horn would give? Perhaps some sort of muzak rather than just tannoy?

Definatley a down facing speaker for muzak/public address speaker.
As per most philips stuff driver is a 8 inch Rola
Even has vents to improve response.
Have seen an AWA version which looks a bit funky.
