Dear Friends.

I have recently acquired a Philips Battery charger, model 1453.
It followed me home! Well, that's my story. Both valves were broken. And although both valves were listed on the I.D. Plate, I suspect that replacements of different numbers had been fitted.

I have been following another thread on this forum, but have so far have neither received any further information, nor photographs.

These battery chargers appear to have been hugely popular, numerous, and most probably the cheapest available at the time.

Still, I would like to learn more about it. I feel that I might have the Barreta but not the 451 rectifier valve.

From the glass wreckage in the case, I think that it's type number might begin with numbers 3, and 2!

The resistance lamp is #1457 but can be 1455 or 1456.

The full wave rectifier is a #451 but can be replaced with these, although slightly different:
1004 ; G203 ; GG4 ; L13 ; R200 ; R200_Record ; R215_Record ; R44

Look here - 1453
