Googling around, I find that the FEO23D chip is listed on various parts broker sites as being obsolete and I think it will be difficult to obtain one.

Thank you to all, success I placed an order from the site that Redxman suggested .The ic display arrived with in a few days ,fitted it and all perfect .
Interestingly my ic display had a code number on the back, lucky I had a reference to order from, the new one that arrived did not have any markings at all, luckily it was not the reverse .
I have left the old ic display in side the unit for future reference.

Hello Ray,

Can you tell me what the code number was on the back of your original display and the Element 14 part number or order code you used when you ordered your replacement. I am looking for one and the Element 14 sale rep said there were two different ones.
Mine has "FEO203-D AND 0679 JAPAN T" on it.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Peter
