Many of us will know that the Questions Without Notice period in any Australian Parliament is usually a lively affair but the video below shows a cracking end to the 55th Parliament of NSW with Premier, Mike Baird, shirt-fronting Opposition Leader, John Robertson, at the traditional two-and-a-half swords length.

I was lucky enough to see this as it happened though it was worth watching again, no matter what political views one has.

Things just won't be the same in the Legislative Assembly for the next four months with a general election due on the 28th March.

"We have a second harbour crossing plan."

I think he means a third crossing.

It was a reference to the rail tunnels that will run from Chatswood to Sydenham to extend the NW Rail Line. Although if one was to include the old tram lines that ran over the SHB it'd be a third crossing. Speaking of which, there's talk that at some time in the future they will also make a reappearance. I'll probably be on the pension by then.

Well, it looks like we'll be getting both - a second rail crossing and a third road crossing.

It looks like they've seen sense with this one and bypassed the CBD so people in the inner west can get to the north shore more directly.
