Hi Guys,
I just found this on an electronics forum and thought it was cool.
A fellow in a country where a tuning gang is unavailable made this Smile

Looks good though it is a bit hard to see as the photo is the size of a postage stamp and this seems to happen with many of the photos that members put on Photobucket these days. Or am I doing something wrong there?

Methinks that the system may be set to view them as thumbnails? Mine came up near standard print size, big screen.

The size was okay for me, but I find that many of Art's other images are too small to discern details easily.

So, there's a viewing config issue somewhere.

Imgur seems to be the best image host at the moment. Sign in optional, images stay up as long as there is at least 1 view every six months. Original image sizes 4000px+ automatically compressed to 1mb

Oddly enough, I can see large photos on my small laptop, which I use when I am on public transport.

All my machines run IE11 so dunno what is going on there. Perhaps it is at my end.

Thanks for the photos Art, very nicely made and a credit to the constructor.

During the WW2 years prisoners of war in various places had to make their own tuning capacitors but nothing like the standard that one.

Timely Post.... as I've been pondering those things & tuning coils & IF's too ...food for thought there.

Thanks Art Smile

I'm trying to send him a dual gang capacitor. I don't think he even knows the commercial ones have bearings so it'll make his day. I just hope it isn't going to cost a fortune to send!
He's now looking to make a shortwave radio.
