I see that this listing ended: "This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing." Guess someone told him, and he was honest enough.

Restored one of these recently for a customer. Plastic case and nice chassis.

Sounded great and as with all my jobs the Ipod jack gives the unit extended use.

Cheers
Vic

Yeah it's ABS plastic in the same colour as mine.
The colour around the pattern near the Kriesler logo is wearing off just like mine...
some kind of paint or coating.

Nice that he ended it... $280 was unbelievable, and I would have
been pissed if it weren't bakelite if the add said it was.

Mine was only $10 Grin

Another interesting 11-99

I'm not convinced it's an original colour, it just doesn't look right but very rare if it is. I've never seen a red one before. A good way to increase the value of a radio if it's a respray and is certainly attracting attention.

It's certainly rare. A red one like this sold on Gumtree a while back. They did come in a wider range of colours than we typically see come up for sale, such as yellow and orange.

Not to mention the state of the art ferrite loopstick.
I imagine that would have broken some licensing regulation in the 40's.
