Hi Guys,
I'm pretty sure the first one is wire for Humbuck coils in
electrodynamic speakers, which will be the least likely coil
to fail, but ROLA! How about that Smile

The second is very fine wire, I think it's imported.
I am wondering if anyone can tell me anything about the second spool.
How do I classify it?
It looks like something suitable for RF chokes/ IF coils,
but how can I tell? Do I take a resistance measurement over a length?

The spool is the property of ROLA, I'd better call them Grin

If it is multi-strand it might be Litz wire for shortwave coils - lots of surface for high frequency conduction.

It's single strand and cotton covered,
but looks a little thicker than the RF choke I just repaired.
There is some pencil writing on that spool, it's difficult to read though.

I have a number of boxes of this type of wire.
