I just acquired this set from an antique store, I did some minor repairs to bring it back to life, It cleaned up well, and it performs pretty goodl, I did test all capacitors & found only 2 dead electrolytics, 1 Shorted, replaced a few leaky paper capacitors!, at some point the 6U7G was replaced with a 6A8G, maybe this was a substitute valve, can't seem to get much shortwave activity on this, I have carefully looked at the wiring under the chassis & it all looks pretty much original!, I may at some point try and get the proper valve this is supposed to have, as it'd be nice to keep it original!!

Early next year I'm ordering valves from a ham in Vic.
New vintage (NOS) 6U7G and tested by retired ham of the era is about $10. Beat that on eBay.

I got 6U7G in my last order for my Music Masters.
I'll let you know when the time comes if you like.
