 What is a Wave Meter do?

Not sure what this does? has something to do with radios I as picked it up with a bunch of radios that when to auction.

The on and off button is missing. All the parts seem to be good condition.

Any ideas? Can seem to find much on the web about it, maybe its junk..

That's not junk. It is to measure the strength of a broadcast signal across a wide range. The different coil units are plugged in to select which range you are testing , then you turn the dial to move within that range. Antenna connects bottom right. With a directional antenna, you could locate the source of a signal, which is probably what this was used for originally.

However, I see the on-off switch is missing. That could mean there are loose wires inside the box, so you should not apply any power to it without a thorough check of the insides by somebody who knows what to look for.
