Does anybody know of or heard Titan Rdiograms a brand produced by Jack Tyler in Perth .

I have one to repair and it's pretty basic but a wire wound resistor has burnt out in the power supply caused by filter capacitors, and I can't find any info or schematic anywhere to get its value.

Any info would greatly appreciated.

Regards

Vic.

There are some Titan circuits in the AORSM books, 1952 to 1955. These were made by K.G.H. Pty. Ltd of Bondi Junction, Sydney. I'm not sure if there is any connection with K.G.H. & your Perth made set. Are there any model numbers - or at least a valve line-up?

Cheers.

If the wire wound resistor is largely intact, an idea of the original value can be obtained by carefully rubbing back the surface of intact winding to bare metal with 1200 silicon carbide paper. Then carefully measure the length of part of the intact winding and measure the resistance of that length. Then scale that resistance up to the total original length of winding.
