Hello everyone,

I want to say a big 'Thank You!' to a fellow member here on these forums, Warren (a.k.a. Scraps) for your help with the restoration of my Kriesler 11-81A radio. Thank you for the valves, replacement components, instructions, and guides (such as the diagrams, locations of possibly bad components, etc.)!

You have been a great help, and I am most grateful for the bits and pieces you have sent, and the help you have given.

I have to disagree with what most people say - it's not so much the advertisement of a hobby that sustains it's interest amongst younger generations, but it is the acts of kindness and generosity shown by other members. It is good people like you who make me proud to be part of this large family we know as 'collectors'. Thank you for the kindness, generosity and help you have shown towards me, and for the time and effort put into packing everything and drawing those diagrams and instructions.

Best wishes,

Chris Ronayne

I'm always happy to hear stories like this. It is one of a few things that makes running this website seem worthwhile.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

Hi Chris,

I've been offered invaluable assistance by far more knowledgeable members than myself on this forum. A great community spirit exists here and is something special. It was a pleasure to be able to help out a fellow member.

Let us all know how you get on with your 11-81A.

Cheers,

Warren

Chris, Tell Warren I need some valves and maybe an old TV to mess with, I am getting the HMV console television from the recycle place and if it doesn't work I am going to do a full restoration on it and get it running so I can use my set top box or DVD player on it
