Hi Guys
As above, I have an 11-81 that I have re capped, checked resistors & replaced all that were faulty. Now, the set works fine with typical 11-81 sensitivity & volume
when tone is on treble, but as its turned to bass(which is just after on) it gives out a deafening scream even with the volume turned down. Advise greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Rob.

Apart from a misswire of that cap. (no circuit)

If the set has feedback introduced from the speaker transformer secondary, make sure that you have not inverted the primary wires of the OP transformer as that will reverse the phase and it will likely oscillate.

Philips 132L is one of many that will do that, should you get it wrong.
