What price do these go for these days? I was told the coloured ones are more sought after.

Very much so. Astor footballs are quite expensive these days, even one with a cracked or faded tuning dial. A coloured one can easily fetch between $800 and $1300, depending on the colour. White and cream start the ball rolling and red, green, orange, pink and blue are at the upper end of the price range.

The fact that they weren't a very strongly designed receiver means that many of them have cracks in them now. This will increase the price of those that remain intact.
