Hi all, Does anyone here live in or know someone who lives in the Hastings region (Port Macquarie, Wauchope etc.) on the Mid North Coast, who collects or restores vintage electronics? I know there are some restorers (and probably collectors) in Port Macquarie, but I don't know who they are or how to contact them. All help greatly appreciated, Chris

Back on Jan 2, in the Member Introductions section, I suggested that you consider getting involved in this group: http://www.wia.org.au/clubs/vk2/OxleyRegionAmateurRadioClub/. Although their primary interest is in amateur radio, they have a general interest in electronics and it may be a good place to network in your local area. For example, I know a number of older "hams" (in Sydney) who retain an interest in valve gear of any type. Hams tend to be sociable people and are usually quite welcoming of newbies.
