I've just completed my daily run through several parts of Ebay and have found this listing for an Astor Mickey.

The radio looks fine, for those thinking of purchasing this model, however the owner states in her listing that he/she has plugged the radio in to verify its operability.

Take a look at the power cord though. Risking electrocution for the sake of making a few bob extra on the sale of an electrical appliance in this state isn't worth it.

For those new to collecting/restoring valve radios or any old electrical appliance - never attempt to power up an appliance with a power cord that looks like that. The radio can be restored but your health can't.

Let's hope so. Grin

This thread follows a similar discovery a while back discussed here and here.

The image on the front page forum was one of the photos put up by the seller and placed here because Ebay delete photos after three months.
