In the thread started by Andestew, Brad gives the html code to substitute for the graphic "." (inserted by this site's internal code as a security measure) so that links will work.

You can also just highlight, cut and paste a link including the graphic . into the browser navigation bar. The graphic symbol may or may not disappear, depending what browser you are using. Then insert the normal . character from the keyboard, before pressing Enter. Worked better for me.
