Hello, I'm new to this forum and would like some help identifying a car radio I have acquired. It has a very small horizontal dial, two knobs and a wheel with the words Eaton and Autovox on the front and 5213 on the back . It is a 2 piece unit - a control section and a power / speaker section. I'm not game to remove covers etc for fear of doing damage. I believe it to be Australian and from a very early 1950's car. Any help would be most appreciated.
Regards
Rod.

I remember fitting those during my
apprenticeship days. Autovox rings a bell. Does it have metal cables from the front unit to the box? Don't be afraid to open,( you're going to have to one day ) then send me the valve complement and the vibrator type, OAK is one I can remember and I'll try my best to help.
Rudy

Sorry I've taken so long to get back to the forum. Thanks for the contact Rudy.
The valves are Mullard 6M5, Philips 6N8, 6AN7, 6 BD7 and one other which I couldn't get at. It was wedged tightly between two silver (aluminium?) 'towers' about 2.5 inches tall with a square top profile profile with rounded corners.
The other section contains a power supply, a speaker and a cylindrical aluminiun object about 2.5 inches tall and about 1 inch diameter with no marks. There is no metal cable, just a flexible lead with 5 wires and and earth connection.
As you've probably guessed my knowledge of radio is very limited so any help would be most appreciated.
I don't plan to install the radio ... it might be of interest to a collector.
Regards
Rod.

Sorry,
Haven't had time due to illness to the wife.Suspect the last valve could be 6V4 (9 pin) or a 6X4 (7 pin ) and the tower is probably the vibrator.
Any chance of sending a picture direct ? rtfeld41.tpg.com.au

Good evening gents & ladies,
This is my first post to the forum. I have an old radio for which I cannot find a CCT diagram. Is there a way I can post a photo for someone to ID it for me?

You go to the 'forums' section in the top bit, click on general discussion or a similar one and then it should be obvious.
