Today I took a load of rubbish to the tip, I know the tip manager and happened to ask him if he ever got any valve radios thrown away. He said from time to time. I said do you have any tucked away and he pulled out a Radiola 451PZ Battery Portable in great condition. Needs the usual TLC but it is all there..
Valves used are: 1R5 1T4 1S5 3S4 or 1S4

My question is:
Why does the Power House Museum call it a K130 ?
Does anyone out there have one?

From the Power House Museum Site the info below:
K130 Radio, 5 valve portable radiola, one of the first portables to use minature valves. Has imitation crocodile leather covered case with built in aerial, uses filament and HT battery...Model No 451PZ,...Australia, c. 1958.

Why does the Power House Museum call it a K130 ?

That is the item's registration (or accession) number within the Museum's catalog/register of assets.
