I picked up a Elko console on the w/e . a local market in good nick & working which was a bonus, can anyone tell me where they were made? & year?.

You would need to provide a picture of the radio for an accurate assessment. You could e-mail the picture to Brad (at) mail.vintage-radio.com.au and I will be happy to publish it here, along with anything I may know. Of course, other visitors may be more knowledgeable about your receiver than I am.
