Does anyone have any original info on the type of cartridge that came with the 1952 HMV Nippergram.
Mine has a BSR pickup arm so I would think it should have a BSR pickup. At present it has a Ronette DC284 which is impossible to source at the moment. There seems to be a lot BSR units on Ebay if I had the correct number.

BSR was Brittish Sonotone and the cartridges were called Sonotone.

HMV also sold them as genuine as I have several stylii (needle) in original packets. Some of the HMV BSR's had the replacement numbers on the actual turntable.
