I'm guessing that it's a one-off cabinet either built to order for a customer or by the owner.

Hi,
This is a 1959 Kuba Komet with Imperial Chassis.
Tape recorder and record player are made by Telefunken.
I own the same set.
The TV has a motorized channel selector, VHF only.
The rest is Stereo, but not FM-Stereo.
The speakers are blowing in the rear to the top direction.
Kuba (Kubatschek) was a producer of "phono furnitures".
He bought sets from different companies and add them
to his furnitures.
Here is the web-site of the Kuba-Museum:

and more

The production start of this cabinet style was in 1958 with
a combined Graetz TV/radio chassis.
It ended in about 1962 - for save info I have to check the
catalogues.
Best regards from Germany,

Well there you go. I wonder how many were built and sold.
From Google:
"A 1961 "Komet" was sold in Koln, Germany on June 9, 2001 for DM16824.14 (about $7300USD). These sets are exceedingly rare."

The Komet is astoundly wacky. I'd never had guessed it was designed in Germany!
