Hi there - I'm a brand new member - and new to old radios too!
I currently have 8 - only 7 of which are working.
The one that isn't, is the Kriesler 11-81.
I would like to get a schematic for this model, as the guy who does my repairs is a 90 year old ex Spitfire Pilot and I'm not sure he will know where to get hold of one.
I noticed from the forum that Gfr93? (I think) has already emailed a copy to another member - I would welcome the assistance.

Thanks Graham - much appreciated! As a matter of interest, this particular radio's case was in a poor condition ( deep scratches and paint damage). I managed to determine that it was made of "modern" plastic, but I had no idea how to renovate it! So, I surfed the web - and this site came up trumps.
I put together the best ideas from the forum and tackled the job with trepidation - but with great success!
I started with 800 wet/dry sandpaper & lots of water. I then moved to 1200 paper & lots of water. Once the damage had been removed (along with the shine), I polished it a few times with brasso - and it now looks very good.
All I need, is to get it working again!
Cheers.

Hi Graham, I too would love a copy of the Kriesler 11-81 schematic. I found an old one in the shed when we moved in. I notice you are from Harston - I am originally from Tatura.
cheers
darryl

Hi Darryl,

If you unlock your email address in your profile page, I'll send it to you.

An alternative is to email me and I'll reply with the schematic. My address is available from my profile page.

Cheers, Graham...

G'day Tubez,

Can do. Unhide tour email address in your profile page and I'll send it to you.

Is your model a 11-81 or 11-81A? The difference between the models is a minor variation of the second detector use of both diodes for audio and AVC in the A and separate circuit for AVC and audio in the original.

Cheers, Graham...
