Hi everyone I'm chasing a philco predictor for my collection it looks like a tube sitting on a box style if anyone has one please let me know thanks

In the USA, they are somewhat common. "Philco Predicta" I think is what you meant. But an American set would have 4 points of incompatibility for Australia: 120V instead of 240V mains, NTSC vs PAL (for B&W it's the horiz and vert deflection rates), and the TV channels would not match yours, and our sound carrier was 4.5MHz from our video carrier, and I think yours is/was 5.5MHz.

I imagine that Philco may have modified an American design (change the power transformer, change the tuner, change the sound IF transformers, and change the timing circuits in the horizontal and vertical circuits. That's probably too much trouble for you to go through to restore and modify an American set, plus the expense of shipping.

Haha sounds like a bit of a mission Smile I really just wanted one for my collection working or not I dont want to modify it just have it as a show peice Smile thanks for the info are you able to get them?
