I have an old AWA Black Beat stereo system which is in components, turn table, tape deck, tuner and amplifier. My problem is when I have the tape deck going the sound comes out of both speakers, but when I use the tuner for radio I only get sound from one speaker. I have checked all connections and they appear to be correct. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong.

Thanks heaps.

G'day Alexandra,

By my way of thinking it could be the input selector switch as it would make sense for there to be two sets of contacts on the switch, one for each stereo channel.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...
