VR members I see the August issue of SC has an article by Marcc on restoring a HMV 42 set.
Marc has done some nice work with this one and the photos are first class.
I note the additional heat shield to save unwanted frying of parts.
Nice move.

Fred.

SC have not sent the email to download it yet. It is not for me to impart comment on the quality of the article. But I could not believe my luck when I assessed that radio.

I do preach on taking magazine quality photos for printing. Those are not the first into print. There is a certain amount of gratitude to Ian Batty for nominating a program to transfer large files, or a complete folder, which keeps it all together. The bigger image files do help Radio Waves produce a quality product for one.

Bearing in mind that modifications can have ramifications: There are times, with some sets where damage has occurred, to actually take action to try & stop it happening again.
