Hi, I just got this old precedent radiogram and I'm trying to find out what model it is? So I can find a new stylus/cartridge

Precedent was a brand used by manufacturer AW Jackson. They made lots of models of radiograms, most of which used either Garrard or BSR turntables.

There's likely a replacement (or near equivalent) cartridge and stylus available and it would be useful to remove the cartridge and see if there are any markings on it and/or compare it with others.

Thanks. How can I tell what type of turntable it is?

Often the brand is marked on it, however, what is more to the point of your reason for posting is to identify the existing cartridge -- which may not be the original.

Thanks GTC. In new to radiogram so didn't realise the turntables are by a different company. I posted as if love to know what year and model it is (in case I need future repairs). But thanks for your advice on the stylus

I read "So I can find a new stylus/cartridge" as you were seeking just that.

Turntables were a specialist item. AFAIK, in Oz since circa 1950's just about everyone in the radiogram manufacturing game used Garrad or BSR units.

I can't give you a model number for the 'gram but it dates from the early '70s.
Pity about the paint splatters!
The electronics was a design that AW Jackson had been making for many, many years and it uses valves. 6BM8s as I recall.
Not exactly Hi Fi but they make a pleasant enough sound.
Turntable is a BSR. (model 2025?)
It will probably need a service, the bearing grease turns to glue and the rubber jockey pulley goes hard on the surface - this can be easily fixed.
Replica BSR replacement cartridges (this one is called a C1 from memory) are readily available. Try WES components. You will probably need to change the cartridge but it's worth trying a stylus first. WES have these too.

The radiogram looks like a Model S25.

Introduced in late 1962 the S25 was produced throughout the 1960's and into the early 1970's. A later version, Model S25A from 1971, was solid-state with the broadcast band only. The valve version was the last of the Precedent dual-wave radiograms.

There should be a label on the back cover showing the model designation, although they can get loose and go missing.
