I've got an Astor APK mantel radio, but the speaker has been removed.
What type (wattage, brand etc) should I be looking for as a replacement, or will pretty much any speaker that fits work?

Usually around 4Ohms. Jaycar have some replacement type speakers that may fit... may be 5"?

Make sure that you have a speaker transformer as they are often on the speaker.

5 Watts RMS is about normal if its single ended output.

Would like to know output valve eg 6M5.

Be careful with modern speakers, as they have powerfull magnets and can have arguments with power transformers if they are too close.
