I will send photos to Brad.

Wow after a day and a half the National Panasonic has proven to be a tremendous performer it really is a great dxer .
It looks like someone dropped something heavy on it as its cracked on the top and the metal loop antenna is hanging loosely on top.

I have sent photos to be uploaded.

Love to know how many different facias that Philips / Mullard cabinet had?

STC: worked on one of those before. Beware its an autodyne (screen grid type) and they go by chassis number. #59 unprocurable, so I reverse engineered the hacked mess I had, & drew a circuit for it. HRSA & Kevin Chant have that one with the warning on how it came about.

11-77 beware of that one, what is on the cabinet is not necessarily, what Kriesler put in it.

Marc

Some nice radios there. I've got a Philips like that one. Don't know the model number because the sticker is missing. The valves are miniature types except for the 6X5GT rectifier. Gets used at least once a week.

I also have an example of the little rounded Healing, except mine has a pinkish/brown case. Someone got sick of its intermittent fault and stabbed it with a screwdriver, causing damage to the flimsy plastic internals.

That Kriesler 11-7 seems to be missing a plastic grille.

The console with the telephone dial looks unique, to say the least.

Missing grilles on the 11-7s are a common problem but replica grilles and the red badges are available if one looks hard enough.

Thanks Brad. The Peter Pan has become our kitchen Radio. A very nice sounding set.
Marcc that Philips set was a $10 set I picked up 18 months ago. It had a rosary bead power cable ( yep that bad ) so I replaced that, recapped it and repainted the front , recapped it and polished it up and sold it for $30 lol.
I sold two radios that day and did well to come home with the Peter Pan, the Eddystone and the National Panasonic.

There is at least one of those homeless unrestored 11-7 Kriesler's here, they wander in and out for repairs occasionally.
Apparently there were four grades of rubber wire. I am convinced Astor used the worst one. I am of the opinion that some of it is biological attack as the RF stuff gets the least damage.

Tasma seemed to have scanting. A lot of their heater / filament wire tends to die from heat stress and several times I have split the feed to reduce the the wires current loading.

The Kriesler has its grille. That would not be difficult to reproduce by printing.

STC had a bad habit of using part numbers & pots that earthed via the shaft.

"The console with the telephone dial looks unique, to say the least."

The telephone dial was used in the late thirties in Astor and Monarch radios.

Even better especially if you have the room for it - that's the problem with consoles.

I bet the seller was regretting the folly of restoring such a radio!
Looks like he did a nice job too.

I hope you slipped him a bit extra.
