Would anyone have either an 8 - 10 or 12 inch speaker with a 2K field coil for sale ?
I checked my stock and found a Rola F12 with a field coil of 7500 ohm field coil, would anyone know what radio it was used in? There is no further information on Radio Museum or Kevin Chants site

Thanks

My common option is to get a 2K panel mount resistor of around ten watts and use a conventional speaker. I have possibly got one but freight may be interesting due to the weight.

Examples of panel mount resistors https://au.rs-online.com/web/c/passive-components/fixed-resistors/chassis-mount-resistors/

Hi Marc, Thanks for your offer and suggestion, I've actually got it connected in the manner you suggested. A couple of years ago I bought quite a few 100 watt resistors with built in heat sink of various values. I used a 1500 ohm in series with a filter choke, it works well with no hum. I just wanted to keep it authentic, that's all.
This not where I bought them from, just an example what they look like. On E-bay item number. 265776783949

A field like that is more likely parallel with the "B" rail, or just feeding the RF. May also be out of an amplifier.
