Hi All

Can anybody tell me what model is in the photo attached and where I might obtain circuit diagrams.
All I can find is the PYE logo on the front and nothing else.
The unit itself sits in a wooden cabinet with an EAK 1005 Record Player in the top.
Thanks for any help.

Mike

Don't know the model, but looks to be from the late 1970s/early 1980s. During the heyday, hundreds, if not thousands, of such 'music centres' were churned out. Probably made in Japan and likely rebadged by Pye.

If you open it you might luck onto some useful info inside.

I was thinking Japanese, or maybe even early Chinese. It does look nice though. Definitely badge-engineered. It should say where it's made on the back.

Look inside like GTC said. If it's well-made and worth repairing, then more likely to be Japanese.

As for a schematic, I'd say your chances would be rather slim - but you never know.

Oh, forgot to ask, what's wrong with it?

Tell me where it's made and I might be able to remember the name of the OEM that made it.

Could be Japan, Singapore or Taiwan.

Pye chose well with their OEMs. They are generally of reasonable quality and performance.
