One would not think such ever existed, but this Philco was made in the USA.

Circa 1960, before Japan started sending radios like this into the USA,

I think Australia held out longer.

This has occurred since Microsoft did an upgrade acouple of days ago. I cannot get either Firefox or Edge to upload to the american Forum however, Firefox will read the Avatar & links.

So it looks like its something Microsoft has done. I did upgrade from 10 to 11 and that really achieved nothing. Its a general fault Edge was calining error 500.

It appears some of these earlier transistor designs were rather void of electrolytic capacitors. The Astor HPN was similar in this regard. It seemed to make them somewhat more reliable than later designs.
Interesting use of the centre tapped power supply for the complementry output.

I too like the Philco's elegant design with stable voltage dividers providing 0.1v forward bias for all stages except the audio driver that uses a single 100k resistor to do the same thing.

It would appear that the Anti Virus program blocked those links
