Hi
I just brought this untested with the plug removed. Was hoping to find some info on it before I reconnected it.
It has 6 push buttons and a dial on the front. 1 dial on the back. No tuning display at all.
Here's some links to photos from the auction I won. No brand names on it and no googling helped me any closer

This image doesnt appear to be the same unit as the front dial and screws holding the speaker plate on are different

Appreciate any input

First, DO NOT reconnect it.

Doing so without it being checked over for the expected faults of a radio of that era can cause irreparable and totally avoidable damage.

Next, to assist with model identification, let us know the valve types in it. When removing valves, rock them gently by the base, don't pull then by the glass envelope, and be very gentle with the top cap connections as they can be snapped off quite easily.

There is no photo of the set in either of John W Stokes "Golden Age of Radio" books which feature many New Zealand and Australian radios.

Strikes me that this radio would suit a non technical blind person.

You can also apply leverage under the socket. If possible if the top cap is tight you prise between the top of the metal cap and the terminal.

The top cap coming off is not always a disaster. Repaired a few. Method appeared in HRSA Radio Waves.

Assessment is the first step, not applying power. Exuberance is applying power to see if it works, I am one often confronted with the damage from doing that & expected to be able to fix it.
