It was supposed to be last weekend but got rained out. Last year we had 3 weekends in a row rained out. I hope all you sydneysiders can make it down to the Begbie Farm as its always good.
I will be clearing out some of my sets and will have some good gear on the freebies table.

I was out there today, Friday. The road is dry and hard but lots of potholes and corrugations. The fords had about six inches of water but no real problem getting through.

You were up to your usual cheeky self today lol. Guys the day went really well and I didn't need those swimming lessons thankfully. Took lots of photos and we had a great turnout. I got some real bargain's.
Photos are on their way.

Another beauty I picked up was a sweet little 2 valve radio branded Tru Tone Two from the 1920s. I will pick up some good valves for it soon and I also picked up a pristine set of Nathan Baldwin headphones with the nice mica diaphragms and moving armature drivers. So I will soon be able to connect the power supply and give it a real go.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

Like the handcuffs on the Tru-Tone, was that for a captive audience?

Before attempting to use that instrument It would pay to have a look at the internals. The Wheatstone bridge here and the AVO have a lot of Brass & Bakelite. Bakelite can catalyse the formation of Verdigris and if there are caps often they have past their use by date.

Caps would also apply to radios.
