After a quick sweep of the Services Directory it has been discovered that around half the linked websites are no longer working. The Audiophile website has an announcement that that business will soon close. This will sadly mean that all these entries are now pending removal from the Directory and given that the remaining number will be quite small I am considering removing the entire section from the site.

Before resorting to the scorched earth policy I am interested in hearing what other members think. Should it stay with a vastly smaller number of providers or should it go?

Does anyone know of any useful providers that could be added?

I didn't know it was there.

But now that I do, I say it's a valuable resource, and I vote to leave it there.

Of course the number of entries will slowly diminish, making it easier to do a yearly checkup of them.

Just like the vanishing game arcades, difficult to find a decent one.

I also vote for it to stay.

A number of service providers still advertise in Radio Waves, so perhaps you could add those.

I vote for it to stay. Maybe us members can be more vocal in letting you know which links are redundant!

As a PS, I would suggest that, rather than being state-based, the directory be arranged alphabetically by service type. That will eliminate the need to go through every state individually when looking for a particular service provider.

I agree that there will be too few entries to warrant separating them and alphabetical order is the fairest way to display the entries.
