My Ipad two has told me I pressed the find my Ipad app. I may or may not have done.
I have the shakes and that is not impossible.
However it has brought up Activation lock requiring information I supplied more than 10 years ago. I have changed email address several times I do not remember the old ones that might have been in place 10 years ago . the pass word I would be ok with my record keeping is bad and my computer skills also bad I did print out some details at the time however all is now lost . Can anyone help me I know I do not deserve help.
Kind Regards Jim

I have never used Apple gear but I would assume that Apple has a similar support line as Microsoft does for activation related issues.

I found the relevant receipt and email and password however it decided it was not supported spent more than an hour on a chat line they want to erase the information.
I told them this is not a satisfactory response. A call back from Apple has been arranged for Monday.

Pre-COVID I would have suggested making an appointment at an Apple Shop.
I don't use Apple anything, but have watched someone who does go that route and their problem was solved by the shop staff pretty quickly. At one stage during that process the shop staff obtained solution informtion over the phone, presumably from Apple tech support.

Hopefully On Monday I can get it sorted.
Thank you all for your replys. I actually don't think I did press the button.
I had rebooted it because the blue tooth was not responding.
Regards Jim

Whist passwords are in the main a nightmare they tend to be a must have and that's where the problem starts. There are currently four devices here starting 2000 one desk top running XP used to run a couple of programs like an AutoCAD that won't run on anything else.
A cranky note pad that has Vista it is a cast off from a Club and runs at the speed of a tired snail and is easily confused.
An "all in one" with an issue with the INVIDIA; sync I suspect. Fortunately for the world the mob who made the last two have stopped making them and then there is current desktop.
All the fun of the fair starts transferring files & reloading programs. This is where the problems with passwords that expire, passwords not known and several companies that like to avoid people contacting them and have not the foggiest idea of customer service: When compared to ICI PLC who understand that the the customer is their life blood.
It does come to the point where being in club management positions serial numbers and passwords become impossible to remember & end up having to be recorded. That either has to be hard copy, or, as here on a separate zip locked up & banking etc critical passwords are not remembered on a computer connected to the WEB in any way. Scammers are a daily event. It is to the point that one does feel unwanted if they don't ring or email.
John Laws used to call one NSW premier "Mirrors". As he was always going to "look into it".
Your answer is "Polly speak" aka gobbledegook for nice to hear from you... Next item.

Hello Robbert.
I actually do not think I did what it said I did.I rebooted it because I had an issue with Bluetooth and it came back with that result. However I was very impressed with the help I received from Apple. I bought that Ipad 2 shortly after I was retrenched .If I could afford it I would love to buy another but 9 years on there is no money for such luxurys.
I did however buy a new mobile phone not an Apple but a Motorola G30 and I am very happy with it.
Regards Jim
