This may be a difficult question to answer even for you people. My computer type skills are on level with the 1940's
I like the to look at the Facebook advertisements if I use the windows 7 laptop all OK. If I use this horrible Alcatel tablet when I go into an add I am interested in some days it is OK as it is today. Other days such as yesterday it blows the advertisement up so large it cannot be viewed properly it cannot be pinched in to make it smaller. I have been through the settings and cannot find anything helpful. Why is it OK some times and not others.
All this technology is too much for the likes of me.
At least it may bring some amusement to those of you who love all these computers.
Regards Jim

My guess is that your Alcatel tablet issue is related to the version/type of browser on it.
Speaking of browsers, I am continually annoyed with mobile phone browsers. If I do a Google search with Firefox at home and I'm guiding someone using a phone, they invariably get different search results because it seems that mobile phone browsers steer people to pages and pages of barely-related advertising content ahead of the page that I am seeing straight up on Firefox.

The time is coming when I will have to buy a other tablet. It is hard to justify the expenditure a bitter pill to swallow so to speak.

If all one is doing is consuming Internet content then many tablets, regardless of OS, should be okay. If one is producing content, they would be better off with a desktop or laptop as the video driver and hardware are much better (despite the marketing hype surrounding tablets).

I generally use both Firefox and duckduckgo apps.
While duck duck go is a website they've released an all contained app.
Just think of Google with the Google app. Just that duckduckgo protects your privacy a little better and doesn't track you all the time
