.Brad, IIRC, your contract with this host, that apparently uses molasses instead of electrons, finishes pretty soon.

and as soon as I wrote that, things slowed to a crawl. No timeouts, but everything is taking a very long time.

I can bail at any time even though the current cycle lasts until Christmas. My sticking point is the time it takes to find a more worthy vendor, set up an SSL certificate and then relocate the site. There's a lot of work there, especially since not all webhosts allow the configuration that this site needs to run.

To be honest, I am thinking about taking the job back inhouse. I had fewer worries back then. I just don't have the infrastructure in place for it at the moment.
