For years I've had a routine I do every day religiously, I surf the web for what items are selling and what's hot and what price it's bringing,so I have a very good general knowledge of what things are worth from tools to furniture , Antiques, and general consumer needs of second hand items.
Nothing is selling and prices are falling very fast ,I note that there was an article in the news that read the state of Victoria is now in its biggest economy slump since the great depression of the 1930 and I image the other states are in the same or close position.
I know where there are bargains today that are 1/4 of the price they were 3 months ago , I also note that food prices are going up and up .
Big changes ahead I think!

There may be bargains about but checking them out and collecting them is the problem, and I would think that many people have stopped spending on non-essential items. However, going by the stats (but not the toilet roll shelves), the virus situation appears to be continuing to improve day by day here in Oz.

Gtc,
Yep ,They don't have the cash for wants or they are hanging onto it! So the prices drop.
The other issue as you say is looking at it in lock down makes that difficult.
No loo paper in the shops here G. Madness!
I also noticed people are selling items that normally are not on the market, 5 dollar price tags and just rubbish that is normally thrown out.

Its amazing as to what accumulates. I backed the tractor up to the container door awhile ago & transferred a pile of rubbish to it: Believe it or not there are at least four radio grams in there & about eleven radios in various states of disrepair some only fit for parts.

I made a prediction when this all started that some businesses will do really well out of this. Supermarkets have employed thousands of casual staff just to keep up with demand.
Other predictions will be once everything settles we will see lots of very cheap holiday deals and cheap airfares to get things going again.
I also thought I would see some new customers on my ebay but not to the extent I have been experiencing. Easter traditionally is quite but this year it's been huge so I'm taking the time to concentrate on the positives and looking at ways of improving like new items. But I want to concentrate on doing things right.
Personally because my line of work is classed as essential I have seen my hours settle down and am getting more quality time at home to get things done around the house
