For those of us who've bought valves from Joe, he is seriously ill in hospital , my thoughts and prayer go to Joe and Anne.

Not good news, even if we have not bought from him.

That's bad news. I hope he pulls through.

Joe has something like 10,000 valves at his house, hidden away in nooks and crannies. He always tests with an Avo before selling. Never had an issue with any valve I've bought from him.

Just to let you know that I talked to Joe this afternoon, he's out of hospital back home after a bout of pneumonia. He sounded quite frail, as he said at 91 he didn't have the strength anymore.

It's good to hear he's on the mend. I've never met him but let's hope he stays okay. Not much is worse than finding it hard to breathe at any age but in one's 90s, even harder I imagine.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

Very glad to hear that. Pneumonia at 91 would be terminal for most people. Speaks volumes for Joe's constitution.
