Photos uploaded. Late due to the Labour Day long weekend, my apologies.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

No, the numbers don't help, just the letters since one of the models mentioned above has an LF prefix, which makes you think that here was an L series of models.

Re the mouse, at least it didn't have a go at your wax coated capacitors which mice are apt to do.

A very nice looking cabinet, no wonder that you want to get it going.

Two stage IF. Now we know.

Valve lineup is:

Mixer/osc 6BE6
1st IF 6BA6
2nd IF 6BA6
Det & 1st audio 6AV6
Audio out 6AQ5
Rect, 6X4

It SHOULD be a fairly hot performer with the two IF stages.

That chassis does not look factory built, despite the ARTS&P transfer. Chassis wiring is distinctly amateurish and untidy.

This is a Chieftain model 23 Cocktail Radiogram with a LR chassis. The circuit is probably close or similar to the AORSM one mentioned previously

Here is the spiel from a Motor Spares catalogue:

"Beauty and utility are combined in this Cocktail Radiogram. The cabinet is richly veneered in Walnut, Mahogany, or Chinese Camphor Blonde timbers and finished to a high gloss.

The Cocktail Cabinet itself is mirror-backed, has an automatic light, glass shelves, back lower shelf and shelves for tumblers attached to inside of door."

Price 159 GNS. (£166/19/-)

Fabulous set and full marks for making the effort to get it going again. Re the dead mouse; I thought that I was the only one who kept finding deceased rodents in old electrical equipment. Have any other VR participants made similar discoveries?
