I found a supplier of black ebonite, on another forum “ the radio board .com” . I think it’s American. The person recommended a Japanese company “ Nikko Ebonite mfg co”
I’m looking for a piece for the top of my 1922 Ericsson.
Purchase price, princely sum of 22400 yen- 275 big ones! For a sheet 600x900- I hate to think what the freight would be Japan to Australia!
Back to the drawing board....

I have seen some good replication.
MDF, painted Matt black and sealed varnished with Matt clear.
Then wet and dried.
